AMS IV prepares students for college and career success through programs like the NAF IT Academy, CareerWise New York apprenticeships, and Amazon Future Engineer, along with partnerships including York College, PLTW, WIOA, Girls with Impact, and Pathways to Graduation.
• NAF Academy of Information Technology will provide Post Secondary Readiness Support: Name A Future is a national network of education, business, and community leaders who work together to ensure high school students are college, career, and future-ready. AMS IV and NAF partnership brings an Information Technology Academy in our school community.
• CareerWise New York will provide Post Secondary Readiness Support: CareerWise New York’s youth apprenticeship program provides high school students with a three-year applied learning experience that bridges classroom knowledge with real-world skills. After completing career exploration and career development coursework, students apply for apprenticeships, gaining hands-on experience while contributing to an innovative talent-acquisition strategy for businesses.
• Amazon Future Engineer: It is a program that brings computer science education and career opportunities to students. It offers resources, scholarships, internships, and hands-on coding experiences.
