Our Approach

We achieve academic success through P.R.I.D.E.—our core values of patience, responsibility, integrity, dedication and empathy. At AMS III, we provide robust social-emotional support through trained personnel, advisory and school culture staff. AMS III scholars have the opportunity to get extra support when needed. We offer all students office hours and we provide all students with Regents prep and optional Saturday classes.

This allows students to gain more support during small-group instructional time. With a strong emphasis on character development, the AMS III advisory program provides space and time for scholars to develop the social and emotional skills for academic, collegiate and professional success within high school and beyond. We program each student for an Advanced Regents diploma and this allows most students access to at least three Advanced Placement courses and even more dual credit courses by the end of senior year. Currently we offer Computer Science, AP Language and Composition, AP Chemistry, AP World History, AP Government and AP Calculus. We understand how important it is for families and school staff to have a strong partnership. Therefore, all parents have the opportunity to be a part of the Family School Alliance (FSA) team and have the opportunity to ask questions, discuss concerns and help organize school and community events with the Family & Community Coordinator, Ms. Althea Green.Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit.
